The Purpose of Christmas…

As I was thinking what to write for my blog this week, I thought of a million things I could write…(like how busy I am; how much it snowed this week; how cold it is in the East…) But, I’d thought for a second, there’s something more inspiring…more breath-taking…more interesting! I was reminded of the Christmas season is beginning to start as Wal-mart 24 hours starting in December; the Chrstmas songs that are being played in the malls; all the decorations and lights around. All that didn’t drew my attention till I was on the bus with a friend and she passed me a earphone…it was Josh Groban “Noel” from last year. Then, walking into Chapters…finding “The Purpose of Christmas” by our infamous “Rick Warren”.

So, before all the season rush begins…with all the Christmas shopping, the giving and the presents you’ll be getting…I’d just thought this blog will help those who think Christmas is one of the most stressful time in the year…to really stop and ponder. What is Christmas all about? Family gatherings? Food? Giving and getting? Just another holiday? The day before boxing day, where we go crazy shopping? A financial crisis? $ spending? Church?

Maybe it’s one of those above option or maybe it’s all of those options or none. But what is most important is this song I’ll be introducing to you…”Christmas is all in the heart”.

Christmas is All In the Heart

I hope you’ll be touched and most importantly get the meaning of Christmas from this song. It is my hope and present to you this Festive Season. I guess it’s an early wish, but I’m sure you’ll need it!

Peace be to you and your family. :)

Blackberry Storm is Finally Out Today!!

Alright, as sad as this may seem. This post is not about me again. I know it’s sad, but sometimes the sad things are just overwhelmed by the happy things in life. However, if you are reading this…I know you care for me (and my well-being)!!! And may God bless you. Rather than talking about boring old me, I’d like to make my 2nd advertisement using my blog.

THE BLACKBERRY STORM, which will take you by STORM. Instead of me blabbing, I will let the multimedia take you by STORM.

Unify4Life and Blackberry Handheld

I think this is going to be my first time on my own blog advertising about Blackberries. And it may be the final. We’ll see.

I was reading through my past subscriptions to RSS Feeds from the past week and I came across something really fascinating. A hub that will take you away with your blackberry device. It was all my dream to control everything inside my house through one touch and one click. Unify4Life is bringing my dream come true.

One of the things I’d be dying to get this Christmas is probably this cool gadget. May I present to you “Unify4Life”!!! Here’s a trailer of what this gadget does with your Blackberry:

My ExcitED Weekend in TO.

This weekend I had the opportunity to get out of Ottawa and travel down to Toronto. It was a four and a half hour drive and it was well worth it. I spent the whole weekend eating genuine chinese food (that Ottawa didn’t have) and places that were like Richmond where 90% of the population is ASIAN.

I loved Toronto for several reasons:

(1) It is so like Vancouver Downtown. Actually, better than Vancouver downtown.
(2) The structures were amazing, all the high-rises, not mentioning CN Tower and Rogers Centre.
(3) It is THE place to be. Whether it’s night life, shopping, anything and everything…Toronto has it.
(4) The city is glowing at night. Too bad I ran out of batteries shooting too much day pictures or else I would’ve just snapped till that battery died. (I sucked out every bit of that battery.)
(5) I literally don’t have to go down to the States to shop anymore, TO has it all.

For the above reasons, I love Toronto. And now I’ll consider moving there one day. (Get away from the rain for a bit.)

3 cups of Vanilla & Hazelnut Coffee = Zzzleepless Night

For some reason, Robin’s been catching up with the caffine that most office ppl get into. If not, TEA! Now, I know why it’s so addicting. Everytime, you want to take a break from work…you get up and walk to the coffee machine. Better yet, I like to take a more distanced walk downstairs to the cafe, where you can get fresh brewed coffee for FREE! (Btw…it’s not bad @ all.)

So for some reason, Robin took 2 large + 1 medium (but meant to be a large) cup of Vanilla & Hazelnut flavoured coffee (my fav type there). With 4 milks and 4 sugars in each, how can I not get high? By the time when it’s close to going home, my energy level has boosted above normal and it’s amazing how awake I am now (2:30am). But, the sad news is…I will feel like crap tmr.

Lesson learnt: Don’t exceed 3 cups of coffee per day. “Drink Responsibily.”

The Big Moo

So, I’ve been reading this book called “The Big Moo”. It’s a pretty inspiring book. Short stories from all different people of success. Basically, the entire book are stories of how to think different, to become somebody, and most of all to become somebody remarkable.

This got me thinking when I was walking home one day. Do I really want to be remarkable? Being a remarkable person means I’ve got to stand above the crowd, right? I’ve got to be different than anybody around me…that’s how people stand out, right? One’s got to be unique and special! But many people did not realize that being remarkable takes more than one step. It’s actually not that easy to become the “special one”. I’m sure if you ask anybody that is remarkable…(or that you think is remarkable)…the person will tell you that they’ve gone through so much in their process of becoming that remarkable one.

Well, now that I learned that being remarkable is not all that easy. Do I really want to become remarkable? I’m pretty sure we’ve all heard of the term “no pain, no gain”. And it’s true. There’s always a price to everything and now that I think of it…do I really want to pay that price to become remarkable? Knowing that it’s not a one-step process, do I want to become remarkable?

Hard question eh?! I actually never came up with an answer to this question. It’s still sitting in my brain…idleing. Well, I’m half way through the book, maybe if I finish the entire book…I’ll probably be able to figure this out. In the meantime, I’m just “an ordinary”. Living in an ordinary world. Filled with ordinary people. Thinking in an inordinate type of mindset!
